About Me

Hi, I’m Traci Quail!

An unforgettable last name, I know. Although my formal education is in finance, I have always been passionate about creating and art. I have a bachelor’s degree in accounting and a master’s degree in finance, I also attended art school for three years in my 20s and have always had a passion for it. I prefer creating items that are fandom based, since that is where my true passion is. More than anything, I love creating something beautiful that connects with people and something they truly love. Creating an emotional response and connection to someone through art is why I love what I do so much!

I am also a HUGE nerd! If there is anything to know about superheroes (DC or Marvel) fantasy series (from Harry Potter to the Lord of the Rings or ACOTAR), science, or movies, I am your girl. I mean the hours long, diving into it with deep conversations, not the cute, pop culture base knowledge type. I also love to read, run, and am definitely an early riser. Most days, I just can’t wait to get started, whether it’s learning with the kids or working in the shop.

Where I come from:

I am a native Texas, but a current North Carolinian stationed at Fort Bragg, North Carolina. My military husband and I have three children, two of which have complex medical needs. Having a midwestern born and raised spouse, means our children have experienced a somewhat varied upbringing, which has resulted in lots of comical cultural differences over the last 13 years. Most of my family still reside in Texas, although I am a big “the family you make” type of person, probably brought on by our military lifestyle, so I do also have family in almost every state at this point in my life.

Where I am now:

As a military family, we are often faced with the challenges that come with constantly moving (7 duty stations), but thankfully have been at Fort Bragg now for 5 years. As a disability’s family, those challenges are often amplified when we have to reestablish medical staff and care. With lots of moves and tons of therapy services and therapists constantly in our home, we naturally homeschool our children. I am very passionate about homeschooling and offering the kids a very unique and individualized education. We love to be together, and absolutely love to travel and see the world! Running a business from home has afforded me the opportunity to continue being present for my family and make sure their needs are met.

My biggest accomplishment is and always will be my family. My husband is unbelievably supportive and even though he is currently in command of a battalion at Fort Bragg, he still comes home every day and spends every weekend helping create pieces and keep the shop running. I have seen the artistic impact our new adventure has had on our children, and it means so much to see that side of them develop. Everything we do, we do as a family, and this business adventure has been another extension of that.

Where I want to be:

As I said before, I absolutely love to read and all things relating to entertainment. It is a dream of mine to have a successful blog that is based around books and fandoms, as well as create art and meaningful pieces for those that share that passion. I also hope to incorporate advice and encouragement on how to involve the military and disabilities aspect of our family into my affection for books and fandoms. It is my hope to garner a community of fellow entertainment fans, and create a space for our shared love of books, movies, and art.
